IT Business Analyst
Remote / Local to Washington, DC Metro Area
Overview:
Softtek Government Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Business Analyst to join our team. You will be responsible for gather business requirements, analyzing documentation, interviewing stakeholders, and validating IT solutions in support large government programs. In this role, you will work closely with program managers, stakeholders, other business analysts, and developers to execute your mission.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct detailed analysis of business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and process maps.
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure that solutions align with business needs and objectives.
- Facilitate communication between business units and IT teams to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and expectations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide support during the implementation phase.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or risks.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology to provide innovative solutions to business challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, operations or a related field.
- 10+ years of direct related experience.
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residence/Green Card allowed (must live in the USA)
- Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst or similar role.
- Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in creating detailed documentation and reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis).
- Prior work experience in Big 4 consulting firm or federal government contractor
- Previous experience working for U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) programs
