TACG is looking for a fully qualified System Administrator to perform Microsoft Windows Server maintenance, patching and upgrades following local procedures and best practices for over sixty servers.
This position is located at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Test builds, patches and upgrades for all assigned Microsoft Windows servers before deployment to a production environment.
- Responsible to request configuration management board approval before any changes are applied.
- Follow processes for scheduling patching of systems using the approved software packages (i.e. SCCM, IVANTI, WSUS etc.).
- Write, update and/or modify Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) as needed pertaining to administration, patching and upgrades.
- Monitor assigned assets for current vulnerabilities using provided vulnerability management system.
- Execute file permission requests, to include applying appropriate permissions on network shares, drives and systems.
- Create user active directory accounts following the locally defined account creation process.
Requirements:
- Clearance:
- Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret
- Skills:
- Minimum of one (1) years’ experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016

- NTFS Permissions
- Active Directory Account Creation
- VMware
- SCCM
- Education:
- One of the following Cybersecurity Credentials:
- CompTIA Security + CE certification
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
- DON-approved graduate degree from an accredited university
- Certificate of completion showing 40 hours of training in: System Administration of Windows Server 2012 or 2016
