This position requires a multifaceted individual with experience and interest in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), a good working knowledge of Windows-based systems management, a working knowledge of linux based systems, SQL querying skills, and familiarity with both physical and virtual hardware platforms. The candidate will be a part of a team that manages an enterprise infrastructure consisting of both virtual and physical systems, multiple MECM infrastructures and WSUS instances. The team is responsible for the delivery of software updates and patches, as well as providing Tier III support to resolve customer issues.
Responsibilities Include:
- Monitoring and troubleshooting MECM related infrastructures and services.
- Installing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting SQL instances. Using T-SQL to create reporting on MECM status and performance.
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting WSUS servers.
- Managing and maintaining physical hardware and associated networking components.
- Creating and managing GPOs; creating and managing associated objects in Active Directory.
- Creating scripts using PowerShell to perform tasks related to MECM management and configuration.
- Some re-engineering of patch & software packaging for various MECM infrastructures and reporting solutions as technologies change and/or problems are identified and mitigated.
- The team also supports CyberSecurity and Incident Response related packaging and deployment efforts. These duties include rapid and non-duty hours support for cybersecurity incidents and other high priority, unexpected initiatives.
