What we need:
Mohawk is looking for a Director, Information Security Operations who can do more for all Mohawk North America brands across residential, distributor and builder multifamily divisions.
Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) the Information Security Operations Director will lead Mohawk’s Security Operations Center, and Security Engineering. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of Mohawk SOC, leading a global team focused on monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cyber security threats.
The Security Operations Director is expected to interface with peers from areas such as Networks, Core Operations, Programming, and Facilities as well as with the leaders of business units to both share the corporate security vision with those individuals and to solicit their involvement in achieving higher levels of enterprise security through information sharing and cooperation.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee the SOC's incident response process, ensuring that security incidents are appropriately detected, analyzed, and mitigated; liaise with the SOC and other teams, coordinate with other departments (e.g. IT, legal, and executive management) as well as external stakeholders (e.g. law enforcement or third-partiy incident response teams) to provide regular updates on security incidents, threat landscape, and overall SOC performance; collaborate on security initiatives and projects
- Manage daily SOC operations, including incident ticketing, workflow management, and metrics reporting, leveraging Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems or other security automation tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
- Review, edit, and disseminate critical cybersecurity alerts, Advisories, and Directives
- Provide cybersecurity leadership and management to the SOC team, including security analysts, incident responders, threat intelligence analysts, and other IT security professionals
- Ensure the SOC's activities comply with regulations, industry standards, and internal policies, and that monitoring capabilities are effective and aligned with industry best practices
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of security monitoring tools, establishing detection rules and use cases, and remain updated on the latest threats and attack techniques
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Cyber Security assessments, vulnerabilities, mitigation, and risk management as needed.
- Work closely with compliance teams to establish appropriate controls, conducting risk assessments, and participating in audits and regulatory assessments.
- Draft, develop, disseminate, and defend documents that are designed to inform and influence key decision makers, such as the detailed, policy-driven justification documents for Incident Response Readiness Plans, as well as all cyber security procurements.
- Operational Management:
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data residing on or transmitted to/from/through enterprise workstations, servers, and other systems and in databases and other data repositories
- Ensure the enforcement of enterprise security documents.
- Supervise all investigations into problematic activity and provide on-going communication with senior management.
- Supervise the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits.
- Engage in ongoing communications with peers in the Systems, Core Operations, Programming, and Networking groups as well as the various business groups to ensure enterprise wide understanding of security goals, to solicit feedback and to foster co-operation.
- Management / Supervision:
- Manages IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- In conjunction with the CISO, recommend purchases/upgrades of security systems and vendor solutions.
- Works with stakeholders to define security requirements for new technology implementations while keeping current with the latest security threats.
What you have:
- Bachelor's degree in the field of computer security, information technology, computer science and/or 10 years equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 10 years progressive information security experience with minimum of 5 years managing teams or staff. Manufacturing/Textile industry preferred.
- SCCP / CISSP / ISSAP
What you’re good at:
- Knowledge of the principles, techniques and methodology of project management, quality management, and change management
- Proficient using PC, Internet and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong team management skills, leading and motivating a team that is geographically dispersed and includes contractors and off-shore resources
- Ability to quickly identify and analyze risks & impacts and define alternatives & prioritizations to remove roadblocks. Ability to manage multiple deliverables independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgment and diplomacy when interacting and/or negotiating with internal and external customers and senior management.
- Highly motivated self-starter. Ability to act as an advisor on professional and technical issues with a view towards reaching decisions.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse and global work group and to achieve results through global team efforts. Ability to perform in a high pressure environment and/or crisis situation and render good decisions to resolve the problems, maintain safety and ensure adherence to Corporate Code of Conduct.
