WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Sr Product Manager for Fitness & Performance owns the vision and strategy for the NASM fitness and performance product lines and serves as a product mentor for best practices. This role is responsible for the achievement of growth objectives including revenue, profitability, market share, customer satisfaction and ROI. This position is responsible for the creation and execution of product solutions from idea to market to ongoing adoption, usage and profitability. This position manages the full product lifecycle, defining, launching, building, and maintaining profitable product solutions. This role ensures the solutions are developed to the feature and price specifications that each target market segment demands.
WHERE YOU’LL WORK
This position will work remote out of our Gilbert, AZ office. Remote candidates in the United States will be considered.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME
- Establish overall vision, strategic priorities, and goals for a product line in alignment with organizational objectives and market trends, Develop and manage long-term strategic roadmap at the product line level.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis, analyze industry and market data, gather customer feedback, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize new products, prioritize opportunities, and create roadmaps. Build strategic relationships with clients, partners and external stakeholders to collect information about their needs/preferences related to product and related services.
- Develop business cases for product line investments including new features, extensions, and products.
- Develop comprehensive go-to-market plans, pricing strategies, and implementation plans for product lines to effectively launch and promote solutions in the market.
- Lead cross functional team including business and development stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of product vision and priorities to drive effective cross-functional execution to create, release, and maintain products.
- Lead, collaborate with, and motivate a cross-functional team of designers, educational content experts, editorial and media professionals, technical developers, testers, and others to develop, execute and release in alignment with program and/or product roadmaps.
- Monitor and optimize product financials (including revenue and margins), usage/adoption, to ensure sustainable profitability and growth for the product line
- Leveraging data on performance of in-market products propose enhancements or adjustments in pricing as needed.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Bachelor's degree in related fields, such as Business Administration, Marketing or other areas combined with relevant work experience. MBA is preferred.
- 8+ years of combined experience in product management, business management, or consulting.
- 5+ years of product experience working in a product-led organization is required
- 2+ years of experience building products for education/academic markets preferred
- Proven track record in building compelling value propositions for customers and key strategies for product-related business objectives; ability to research markets, clients, competition and translating needs into viable product solutions; ability to manage roadmaps and budgets; experience in analytical and strategic problem solving with a history of making data-driven decisions.
- An exceptional communicator and collaborator, adept at working across different functions and diverse cultures.
- Additional training or certifications in areas such as product management, strategic planning, leadership, or project management may enhance the candidate's qualifications.
