Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and algorithm-savvy Senior Software Engineer to join the F-35 Sensor Fusion Software team. In this role, you will leverage advanced technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts to design, develop, test, and integrate real-time embedded fusion software.
As a key contributor to this high-performing team, you will play a critical role in advancing cutting-edge technologies, helping to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the capabilities of the F-35 platform.
What You Will Be Doing-Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and integration of real-time embedded software.
-Collaborate on the development of complex software systems using C++ and UML design techniques, ensuring high performance and reliability.
-Engage with cross-functional teams, contributing to project planning, problem-solving, and system optimization.
-Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of software practices and processes to meet project objectives and industry standards.
Who You Are-You have a strong proficiency in algorithm development and application of technical standards in software engineering.
-Expertise in C++ programming, with experience in UML design and real-time embedded systems.
-Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
-Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with project leads, engineers, and stakeholders at all levels.
-Strong time-management, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.

Basic QualificationsBachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years or more of professional experience; or 5 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Strong C++ development skills.
Strong mathematics and algorithm development background and experience utilizing Matlab.

Desired skillsExperience with any of the following is a plus:
*Visual Studio and proficient with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, BitBucket, Git, etc.)
* Strong algorithm skills in areas such as State Estimation, Control Logic, Kalman Filters, Guidance/Nav/Control, Combat Identification, Data Association, and Sensor scheduling.
* Experience communicating complex technical designs to software engineers
* Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills.
* Experience briefing military personnel

Ability to work remotelyPart-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $85,900 - $164,600. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
