The BNSF Railway

This is a full-time located in Fort Worth, TX. For certain positions, including this one, employees can work one day per week remotely. Our leaders also foster a culture where work life balance, which requires flexibility for when life happens, is important and respected.
Travel is minimal to none.
This is a Staff Auditor position responsible for executing projects primarily focused on Sarbanes-Oxley Information Technology (IT SOX) compliance. Depending on the project plan, this position may also perform projects related to accounting, technology, operations, or other areas within the company.
Key Responsibilities May Include
Assess the design and operating effectiveness of IT controls with a focus on SOX.
Perform control testing.
Perform walkthroughs, update/create control procedures, and flowcharts.
Perform risk assessments.
Design and execute audit procedures and test steps.
Interpret and evaluate audit evidence.
Analyze observations for impact.
Perform assigned tasks on-time.
Present results to business partners.
Track audit findings through to remediation.
Contribute to the departments success through participation in initiatives and special projects.
Daily work is conducted primarily in an indoor office environment with some field activities. Normal office hours, five days per week with weekend

Basic Qualifications
- Able to work in the US without company sponsorship now AND in the future.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Minimum of two years of IT SOX experience or two years of general computing control testing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Knowledge in assessing IT risks.
- Document processes and evidence in a concise manner.
- Experience in delivering projects on-time/on-budget.
- Ability to analyze observations for root cause and assess impact.
- Ability to deliver difficult messages in both verbal and written form (including: audit findings and recommendations).
- Knowledge of audit standards and methodologies, railroad operations, generally accepted accounting principles, and security.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques, programming, or system query techniques (Data Warehouse, SAS, TeamMate, Azure, PowerBI , SQL).
- Knowledge of software and systems (SAP, Mainframe, Cloud, ServiceNow, Operating Systems).
- Knowledge of Cloud environments.
- CPA, CISSP, CISA, or CIA certification.
