The role is a part of the Governance as a Service product in Cloud & Engineering Platforms org. You’ll bring your key aspects which will differentiate this role are possessing working knowledge of latest industry best practices and trends in software delivery in Cloud in a secure, scalable, and reliable fashion.
What you’ll do
- Participate in the cloud governance workgroup to develop and maintain the standards for toolsets within AWS or other relevant cloud environments.
- Develop and implement best practices for service management, change processes, monitoring, and cost management that optimizes the existing infrastructure and eliminates redundant applications and tools.
- Ensure customer needs (product strategy objectives, user requirements, and technical environment compatibility) are met.
- Partner with Platform and Product teams to ensure collectively we’re building secure solutions leveraging modern software and infrastructure practices.
- Drive innovation by automating infrastructure via your hands-on expertise with IAC (Terraform)
- Technical – Experience Designing, Developing, Deploying, and/or Migrating to Cloud environments.
- 6+ years of work experience in infrastructure engineering or security engineering experience.
- 3+ years of work experience in distributed cloud computing.
- Programming language proficiency Python (or comparable object-oriented language)
- Keeps up with industry trends in security technology
- A critical eye for correct code
- Proficiency in testing your software
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM or Kanban,
- Proficiency with delivering software leveraging CI/CD
- Proficiency with Azure
- Kubernetes would be a plus.
