As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector Public Cloud Enablement and Adoption and the Cloud Foundational Services organization, you will be a seasoned member of an agile team. Your role will involve close collaboration with public cloud customers and multiple product teams to enable public cloud platform and technologies for the firm. Your focus will be on providing solutions and executing tasks in an agile setting, while fostering innovation and balancing diverse thoughts. You will be part of a team of technologists striving to identify, build, and manage the best products to cater to our customers' diverse needs.
Job responsibilities
- Works across multiple product teams and the customer teams to deliver the best suite of public cloud products that deliver on customer needs and expectations.
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Communicates customer needs and product feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Experience developing cloud native applications on platforms like CloudFoundry, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, Heroku, etc.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Ability to use a consultative approach to analyze and resolve complex problems in collaboration with customers and colleagues
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicantion Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Passion to serve the customer, which has played out in some customer-facing role like consulting or support, ideally solutions engineering.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
