We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our athenaCollector – RCM Rules team.
The RCM Rules team is committed to creating Business Rules that adhere to healthcare industry regulations and meet customer requirements. Our primary goal is to enhance the client self-service experience and streamline the interpretation of rule outcomes through transparency. As a team member, you will play a crucial role in developing new functionality that aims to improve the customer experience for the RCM workflow process. This will empower medical providers to efficiently manage their business and revenue cycle.
We are looking for a developer with experience in designing and building full-stack web applications, preferably in a public cloud environment using Java Spring Boot and React technology. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will need to quickly grasp the complexities of the healthcare industry. Additionally, we value tenacity and adaptability in learning, as well as a commitment to design and engineering excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Write, debug, and deploy quality code based on technical design specifications
- Provide customer value by delivering high-quality software components and services
- Estimate the size of development tasks in story points
- Understand and follow coding conventions, architectures, and best practices
- Adhere to DOD (story definition of done) as part of the sprint, including unit tests, functional testing, code reviews, bug fixes, documentation and adhere to best coding practices.
- Learn the domain knowledge for area of assignment
- Take ownership of what the team builds after the release
- Volunteer for work in the backlog and commit to quality delivery
- Participate and contribute to scrum meetings i.e., daily stand-up, sprint planning, readouts, and retrospectives
- Foster self-organization within the team and collaborate with peers to determine the team's functioning.
Typical Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of software development experience with a proven track record of contributing to complex full-stack applications
- Experience in Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and ReactJS
- Experience with RESTful API, SQL
- Experience in building and deploying containerized applications on cloud platforms like AWS ECS/EKS, Knowledge of AWS Cloud Infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform
- Understanding of relational databases, preferably Oracle
- Experience with working in an Agile environment
- Familiarity with a scripting language
- Desirable skills include Unix/Linux, Drools, DMN, and Rules Engine knowledge
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Possess strong time management skills and maintain a "can-do" attitude
