Genesis10 is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer for a remote contract with our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitor complex test and production applications to ensure seamless operations aligned with business standards.
- Manage incidents using tools like ServiceNow and JIRA, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation following incident management best practices.
- Implement, configure, and operate tools and products within the DevOps and DevSecOps Toolchain, adhering to team best practices.
- Utilize open-source technologies and AI-driven solutions, such as Virtual Assistants and ChatBots, to enhance operational efficiency.
- Work with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and AWS, along with other CI/CD tools and version control systems like Git and SVN.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve production operations continuously.
- Provide operational expertise to engineering teams to develop automated solutions and streamline processes.
- Build and maintain tools, services, and automation for the operations platform to meet customer service standards and minimize errors.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues during testing to ensure smooth transitions to production.
- Update and design operational processes as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with security standards.
- Drive and support automation in product build and deployment, researching and implementing new automation capabilities and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in business, information technology, or a closely related field from a technical/vocational school, accredited college, or university; or equivalent education/experience combination.
- Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Skills:
- Novice understanding of technical business processes and workflows.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and scripting.
- Ability to follow standard procedures and seek guidance from senior staff or management when needed.
- Tools/Technologies:
- ServiceNow, JIRA
- GitLab CI/CD, AWS, Git, SVN
- AI solutions (e.g., Virtual Assistants, ChatBots)
Compensation: Hourly W2 pay rate $50-$60
