Job Description
FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Software Engineer Seniors in Jacksonville, FL to work with architectures to design, construct, deliver, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions to address business and technical requirements of business intelligence applications, leveraging industry and FIS standards-based engineering principles and patterns. Demonstrate ability to communicate the pro & cons of each approach based on strategic implementation goals. Develop and promote infrastructure technology standards through automation and service-based development. Provide technical guidance, designs, road maps, principles, standards, and best practices of business intelligence applications while promoting and enabling cloud capabilities to align with FIS policies. Manage security, logging, monitoring, and alert triage of BI Infrastructure and participate in security incident response and investigation to reduce/remediate any security vulnerabilities. Perform operational engineering activities for BI Applications which include platform upgrades, server patching, monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting to align with FIS policies. Leverage cloud knowledge and skills to design, engineer, implement and sustain cloud-based services for BI systems and services. Serve as a key member of the BI platform team in provisioning developer enablement tools for customer success. Develop, implement, and support the usage of tableau visualization toolkit, configuration, deployment to troubleshoot and resolve tableau desktop issues.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: performing data analysis and data visualization, trouble shooting, validation and cleansing for cost and storage optimization of BI Application; working with any combination of data warehousing technologies including Snowflake, Oracle database, and Google BigQuery to establish network connectivity with Internal and External facing BI Applications; performing logical and physical data modeling concepts, including development of attributes, facts, dimensions, transformations, dynamic dashboards, grids, graphs, scorecards, and statistical reporting; optimizing BI applications with solution design to improve report performance, storage and compute utilization tracking, observability for operational efficiency and system and data security with access controls and data protection; working with programming languages including Java, Python to implement automation to reduce operational overhead and improve self-serve capabilities; and utilizing Tableau Server Client (Python), Viz Alerts implementation and automation to provision user access, workbook migrations and Advanced alerts. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in the above listed fields and three (3) years of experience in the above listed skills.
