SUMMARY: We are currently seeking several talented Java Software Engineers to support an Agency-level Advanced Cyber Analytics team. This program provides targeted threat monitoring and response capabilities related to security event monitoring, incident response, malware analysis and reverse engineering, cyber intelligence, and insider threat. The positions will focus on custom development in support of the mission and the team from inception to operations. To support this advanced cyber analytics team, we are seeking candidates with full stack development experience, a strong desire to work in the cybersecurity field and a willingness to join a small dynamic team tackling a diverse set of challenges. Strong written and verbal communications skills are a must.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and implement a single Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) Cyber Threat Intelligence Lifecycle Analytics platform for use in the customer environment.
· Provide cross-functional support.
· Perform software development, testing, and deployment of specialized tools used for big data analytics and other projects as assigned related to: Cyber Threat Intelligence, Detection & Identification Platforms, Enterprise Tactical Operations Tools, and Case Tracking Tools.
· Utilize aspects of the Agile process to measure different aspects of the development process to completion.
· Implement automation and orchestration capabilities within the customer environment.
· Document design and development documentation on solutions provided.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certifications
· Cybersecurity Certifications are a plus.
Education, Background, and Years of Experience
· Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
· Strong experience developing with Java (minimum of 7 years).
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills
· Full stack development experience with enterprise applications or microservices, preferably in a closed environment
· Experience working with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
Preferred Skills
· A desire to work as a part of a small team with a willingness to work in multiple capacities as needed.
· Experience with the Elastic Stack (Elastic Certified Engineer is a plus).
· Experience developing with common Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.
· Experience integrating backend systems with third party APIs, SQL databases, and NoSQL databases.
· Familiar with Dev/Ops tools including Git, Jenkins and Docker.
· Familiar working in Unix-like environments.
· Practical experience working in the cybersecurity industry - processing cybersecurity data, familiarity using or integrating with enterprise cyber technologies, etc.
