As a Principal Cybersecurity Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls organization, you will play a key role in mitigating risks and enhancing user experience. You will be part of our Enterprise Product Security team, focusing on embedding security solutions into our products and responding to vulnerabilities as they are discovered. Your role will be pivotal in enabling the product security strategy across the Global Technology Product Operating Model. This opportunity will allow you to assess and model security threats, define controls to mitigate those threats, and manage complex technology solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Expand and Improve Strategy, Governance and Communication – including work intake/prioritization processes and business reviews to manage technology security strategy, platform, and customer engagement approaches
- Support and coordinate organizational efforts and resource management across product security areas and delivery efforts
- Establish performance and financial transparency – working with the product security leadership, finance and HR teams on clear, consistent business reporting on key performance metrics, costs, investment value propositions, needed for program delivery
- Maintain a strong system of internal governance and controls
- Create a client centric environment for teams and contributors
- Interact with executive leadership and cross product-line resources on matters of resourcing, organization, governance, projects and programs
- Serve as escalation point for resolving issues for product security portfolios and across multiple platforms
- Setup critical Cross-Product Security Programs – to ensure efforts have clear “charters”, ownership, technology approaches, delivery plans and efficient, effective governance and communication.
- Integrate with organizational partners to drive progress of the Product Operating Model inclusive of role evolution and maturity
- Drive organizational change management (OCM) to align with the shifting needs of a maturing Enterprise Product Security organization as we standardize our practices and outcomes in the pursuit of risk reduction.
- Straddle the balance between technical and effective communication up-and-down the customer spectrum to establish credibility with stakeholders and present pertinent outcomes
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Formal training or certification on technology risk concepts and 10+ years applied experience with leading a strategy-related role in Financial Services technology
- Experiencing leading fast paced, technology teams to organize themselves and deliver against execution timelines
- Customer-oriented mindset
- Proven success navigating matrixes organizations to drive results
- Comfortable with, and an advocate for, ongoing change. Drives structure while also pivoting quickly based on changing business demands or environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing product messaging, communications, and presentations.
- Solutions-driven self-starter with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and work well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Polished executive presence, track-record of flawless execution and delivering strong results
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with cybersecurity technology and/or technology risk management within the finance industry
