Position Summary
The Desktop Administrator is responsible for all end-user support including managing service tickets, installing computer equipment, and troubleshooting desktop computer issues.
Responsibilities
- Manges all end-user mobile and desktop devices
- Responsible for the ordering, configuration, and installation of computers, cell phones, and printers
- Creates and manages users accounts
- Troubleshoots desktop hardware and software issues
- Maintains asset inventory of hardware purchases
- Creates documentation of workstation configurations
- Coordinates operating system software updates and patches
- Acts as a technical resource on IT projects
- Collaborates with departments to implement and troubleshoot desktop business applications
- Tests and validates new desktop hardware
- Assists with Audio/Visual support
- Keep all sensitive matters confidential
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Experience with of Active Directory, iOS, macOS, O365, and Windows
- Experience with enterprise desktop deployment tools such as Intune and Jamf
- Knowledge of mobile device support and management (MDM)
- Experience working with Zendesk or similar help desk ticketing systems
- Strong desire to assist the team and share knowledge
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred; additional experience considered in lieu of degree
- One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in Service Desk or related IT role
- Knowledge and experience working with ITSM and ticketing tools

This role is 100% in-person and requires on-site attendance five days a week at our Headquarters building located in downtown Buffalo. The salary range for this posted position is $50,000 - $60,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
