Position Summary
The Vice President of Business Development leads the organization’s business development and client servicing efforts. The VP of Business Development is responsible for developing and implementing well-founded strategies that will enhance the organization’s overall competitiveness in the market, optimize the effectiveness of the Financial Advisor model, and better serve Covenant Trust clients. The VP of Business Development supervises the 13-member Financial Advisor team as well as the Director of Marketing, and serves as a Financial Advisor for key client relationships.
What We Look For:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, a concentration in Investments, Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics preferred.
- Ten (10) years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in new business and sales-related roles. Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Ability to build relationships with team members by creating an environment of trust, transparency, and collaboration.
- CFP® designation preferred, or other demonstrated financial expertise.
- A heart for serving others and a passion for helping individuals and mission-centered institutions achieve their financial and charitable purposes.
- Self-directed and motivated, able to work independently with excellent follow through and attention to detail, yet also able to work collaboratively with the Financial Advisors, Covenant Trust office staff, and owner representatives.
Travel requirement -Monthly travel to Chicago headquarters is required – generally 2-3 days onsite per month. Additionally, significant travel is required to maintain Financial Advisor, client, and prospect contacts.
Salary and Benefits:
- Base salary - $140,000-160,000, plus bonus opportunity.
