Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the overall technology strategy for the SaaS platform, aligning with business goals and customer needs
- Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of the platform's infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, developers, and tech leads to drive innovation, quality, and high-performance software delivery
- Collaborate with product management, design, and business teams to ensure alignment on product development and technology decisions
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes through the implementation of best practices such as CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile methodologies
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance platform performance, security, and user experience
- Manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and optimize for cost-effectiveness, security, and performance
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOC2, etc.)
- Develop and manage the technical roadmap, balancing long-term goals with short-term deliverables
- Oversee budgeting for the technology department and ensure efficient resource allocation
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CTO or in a senior technology leadership role, ideally within a SaaS company
- Expertise in SaaS architecture, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and infrastructure management
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD)
- Experience in building and scaling cloud-native applications with a focus on performance, security, and scalability
- Familiarity with programming languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or Node.js
- Knowledge of data management, API development, and microservices architecture
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams
- Ability to align technology strategy with business goals and customer needs
- Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in leading SaaS products from inception to scale
- Knowledge of AI, machine learning, or big data technologies
- Previous experience with security compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR
