Myticas is seeking an RF Network Engineer to develop and implement high bandwidth, low latency microwave and free space optics (FSO) point-to-point networks. This role involves utilizing RF technology for custom deployments and using tools like Pathloss and Matlab to analyze and enhance network performance. Candidates must reside in the Greater Chicagoland area or New Jersey. This is a Hypid-Remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Test and evaluate network systems to identify and resolve performance issues.
- Monitor signal levels and conduct detailed statistical analyses to tune networks.
- Perform radio propagation modeling and prediction to determine availability and site locations.
- Coordinate frequency registrations using industry-standard tools.
- Plan and optimize system traffic and develop design standards for quality assurance.
- Provide Tier 2 support to assist NOC/Tier 1 teams in troubleshooting network issues.
- Collaborate with Field Operations to resolve network problems.
- Design and enhance monitoring tools for the Anova wireless network.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors to improve network performance and design.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years in point-to-point wireless communication networks, with increasing responsibilities.
- Proven experience in designing, building, and operating wireless networks.
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and leadership abilities in diverse teams.
- Excellent presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in Pathloss, LIDAR, RF registration tools (e.g., Comsearch, Google Earth, Matlab).
- Knowledge of OSI stack, routing protocols, and RF/Optical equipment.

Education:
- B.S. in Telecommunications, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
