Northwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the logistics industry to hire an experienced full-time Sr. Systems Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and monitoring mission-critical infrastructure and web/mobile applications hosted both on-premises and in the cloud, ensuring optimal availability, performance, and security across a range of technologies including Microsoft, Linux, Azure, Google, Kubernetes, and Office365.
What YOU Will Do
- Manage day-to-day operations of production and disaster recovery environments.
- Oversee non-production environments used for development and performance testing.
- Maintain and troubleshoot both on-premise and cloud-hosted infrastructure.
- Implement and manage performance monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, HostMon, Azure, and Google Monitors.
- Perform OS and application upgrades or migrations.
- Deploy applications using DevOps CICD Pipelines from lower environments up to production.
- Participate in a 24-hour On-Call rotation and handle escalated incidents and alerts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What YOU Will Bring Us
- Minimum of 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud solutions.
- 2 years of experience monitoring and troubleshooting Windows environments.
- 3 years of experience with Linux environment monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Experience with monitoring tools like AppDynamics or other cloud monitors.
- 3 years of experience building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters.
- Extensive experience with Azure and Google Cloud solutions.
- Experience with DevOps CICD processes and deployments.
- Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible.
- Knowledge of load balancing technologies like F5 or Azure load balancers.
- Ability to troubleshoot web-based application tools such as developers' tools and Fiddler.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure or Google Cloud.
- Experience writing scripts using Ansible.
- Experience with message queuing applications such as RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
- Experience with managing Office365 applications like SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and PowerBI.
