Digital Charter is seeking an experienced and certified Network Engineer for a full-time, on-site position located in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in large-scale wide area network (WAN) projects, including expertise in cellular and Wi-Fi networking on mobile assets. This role involves working on all aspects of system integration for networked devices, ensuring network components are properly integrated, secured, and optimized.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the system integration of networked devices, ensuring that no network interface components proceed without proper involvement.
- Design, implement, and maintain large-scale wide area networks, including mobile assets with cellular and Wi-Fi networking.
- Ensure high availability and optimal performance of network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network devices.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
- Ensure the security and integrity of network systems, adhering to industry best practices and security standards.
- Monitor network performance and implement improvements as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with large-scale wide area network projects, including cellular and Wi-Fi networking on mobile assets.
- Strong experience with system integration of network devices and infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with routing and switching in enterprise environments.
- Experience with firewall configurations, VPNs, and network security protocols.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture, including implementation and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with wireless networks (Wi-Fi) and mobile networking.
- Must have a Cisco CCNP and a GIAC Accessing and Auditing Wireless Networks GAWN certification.
- CISSP preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
