Network Engineer
Location: Remote in the United States, East Coast

Summary
A Network Engineer will collaborate at the direction of the Head of Infrastructure to implement network security and management strategy including cloud enablement and establishing next generation cloud firewall features and capabilities. This will include the following:
- Understand and deploy public cloud network architecture (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Provide analysis and recommendations for the continuous improvement of cloud network and security in public cloud networks (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Maintain, deploy, upgrade and troubleshoot cloud network and security infrastructure solutions, including hybrid connectivity, firewalls, load balancers, Site-to-Site and remote client VPN, Intrusion prevention and detection systems etc.
- Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to implement consistent technical solutions and support processes.
- Assist with on-call support as needed.
Ideal candidates will have
- Mastery experience within AWS, GCP, and Azure networking concepts
- Mastery experience with Cloud Security
- Mastery experience deploying and managing Palo Alto Network Security solutions, including but not limited to, the NGFW platform, Panorama, Global Protect, Prisma Access, and Virtual Firewall Platforms.
- Expertise implementing solutions in public cloud Iaas/Paas
- Expertise in monitoring, administering, troubleshooting and identifying solutions in a cloud environment.
- Expertise in PKI
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years’ experience in Network Engineering functions, NetOps, NetSecOps
- Bachelor's degree in technical or relevant field
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform engineering, implementation and support
- In-depth knowledge of network security and security operations, including Palo Alto firewalls, Unified Threat Management firewalls, and IDS/IPS
- Experience automating security processes or configuration in the public cloud
- Experience and aptitude with software defined networking (SDN)
- Experience with automation through object-oriented programming and scripting
- Experience with deploying network virtual appliances in a public cloud space
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred Competencies:
- Has in-depth knowledge of networking and security engineering, as well as technical approaches in design, build, testing, debugging problems as required in the public cloud.
- Certifications (nice to have): Network+, CCNA, PCNSE, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certifications, other network certifications
