Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid Tech Writer role located in Washington, DC with a government client, with flexibility for some remote work. Responsible for writing and/or editing technical documents, manuals and brochures that include subject matter related to cyber security. This may include reports, user manuals, briefings and presentations, cyber security policy, system specifications and/or functional descriptions, standard operating procedures and cyber security plans. Develop outlines and drafts for review and approval ensuring final documents meet applicable requirements. Research and gather technical and background information for inclusion in the deliverables. Consult relevant sources, including technical documentation, subject matter experts and project personnel, to obtain information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise technical documentation for a variety of audiences
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with industry-standard tools for documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with cybersecurity is a plus
