Job Title: Senior Telecommunications Network Engineer
Location: Fairfax, Virginia (Onsite)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities
- Provide support in translating business requirements into telecommunications needs (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, voice, and video) and develop designs and orders accordingly.
- Conduct in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives for government public safety agencies.
- Support strategic modernization efforts and design enhancements for medium to large-scale telecommunication infrastructures.
- Design supporting cable/wiring infrastructure for construction projects, including voice, data, video, and wireless technologies.
- Manage and configure telecommunications systems, including gateways, routers, switches, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, network servers, multiplexers, and calling card platforms.
- Configure and maintain TDM, Dialogic, VoIP systems (SIP, H.323 protocols, dial peers, and VoIP carrier trunking).
- Supervise projects and staff, ensuring that all personnel meet project goals.
- Provide program management services, including presentations to national, state, and local officials.
Qualifications
- Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a telecom environment, including experience with both Legacy and Next Generation technologies.
- Strong knowledge and experience in configuring and maintaining telecommunications systems such as gateways, routers, switches, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, network servers, multiplexers, calling card platforms, TDM, Dialogic, and VoIP systems.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage project timelines and deliverables.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
