GCyber is hiring aLinux Administratorto support the Network Operation Center (NOC) within the CESO Environment. With the CESO program, the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) is looking to transform the existing Secure Web Services (SWS) environment, which provides secure information sharing to the community, into a more mature service offering to meet the DoD and intelligence communities.
As the Linux Administrator, you will:
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux-based server environments, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability both on premise and cloud-based.
- Perform system administration tasks, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and patch management of Linux servers.
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Implement and enforce security best practices across the Linux environment in line with governments standards and STIG requirements.
- Develop and implement automation scripts (Bash, Python, etc.) and leverage automated configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet) to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency
Minimum Qualifications and Experience: - Active DoD Top Secret/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Poly.
- Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience working operation Linux environments. Additional years of logistics experience considered in lieu of degree.
- DoD 8570 IAT II certification or higher.
- Experience with Creating, modify, troubleshooting end user accounts.
- Experience with REDHAT Linux and variant operating systems.
- Highly proficient in shell scripting and Linux CLI environments.
- Experience using shell scripting to facilitate repeatable processes.
- Have a working knowledge of SELINUX and intermediate expertise in configuring and maintaining.
- Have working knowledge of Ansible and how to leverage to secure operating system, along with maintain CM baselines.
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud environments.
- Ability to automate through basic scripting. i.e. Born, Korn Python.
- Implemented security measures in compliance with DOD regulations.
- Managed, create, modified Filesystems.
- Experience in installing Linux operating systems.
- Detailed understanding of CLI basics.
- Redhat Linux Certification and AWS certifications preferred.
