Description
We’re adding an IT Security Administrator to our team! We seek people who are a little better than the rest – a little smarter, more insightful, more ambitious, and a lot more fun. We hire good people and give them a good place to work. Our secrets to keeping them around are a positive culture, strong community involvement, and a dedication to continuous improvement.
What’s in it for you?
Besides competitive compensation and benefits, you would join a close-knit team of critical thinkers with high levels of technical curiosity. We have a great time digging into technical problems and opportunities in our environment. We sometimes divide and conquer, but we also love to put our heads together. Work Together is one of Perkins’ core values and this role is no different. You would collaborate daily with the IT Security Manager and System Administrators, as well as with service vendors and contractors. Our ideal candidate will have a background in security administration, system administration, or network administration, with a strong understanding of network protocols, security systems, and best practices in information security. Have the Systems or Network Admin experience, but have wanted to learn or focus more on Security? We want to hear from you.
Your main responsibilities in this role will involve implementation of security measures, including developing security related SOPs; threat detection, incident response and vulnerability management; user training and security awareness to promote best practices among employees, while also consistently collaborating with the rest of the IT team on system administration projects and tasks. Did I mention we work collaboratively?
While many of us work remote or hybrid, preference will be given to those who live in the Pacific time zone and agree to visit the Portland office at least 3-4 times a year, with at last one consecutive week a year onsite. Whether you’re in Portland, or somewhere else on the West Coast, provided you’re flexible for business needs, you can decide whether your long-term work arrangement will be primarily remote, in-office, or hybrid.
Perkins provides competitive benefits, great perks, and we’ve budgeted a salary range of $80K - $100K DOE annually (exempt).
