The SVP, Corporate Applications is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategy, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide applications that support the organization's operations, processes, and strategic initiatives. Corporate Applications is inclusive of Financial, Legal, Compliance, and People & Culture systems and applications. This role will work closely with functional leaders to align strategy and ensure our technology solutions align and support their business objectives while adhering to our IT corporate strategy and standards. This role will report to the Chief Information Officer. This role will be aligned to our Jersey City, NJ office on a hybrid basis.
What You Will Do:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership in the development and management of corporate applications aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with business units, department heads, and stakeholders to understand their technology needs, align solutions, and ensure the effective utilization of corporate applications.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of corporate applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and enhance operational efficiency.
- Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies and recommending suitable applications to improve business processes.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of corporate applications, managing application portfolios, evaluating their performance, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies for application rationalization, consolidation, and modernization.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, solution providers, and strategic partners to evaluate, select, and implement application solutions.
- Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and partnerships to ensure optimal value and support for corporate applications.
- Establish and enforce application governance, compliance, and security standards, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Implement robust controls and measures to safeguard sensitive data within corporate applications.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of IT professionals and application developers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear objectives, provide guidance, and evaluate team performance regularly.
- Communicate effectively with executive leadership and present technology strategies and updates.
What You Will Have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees (MBA, etc.) can be advantageous.
- Extensive experience (typically 12+ years) in IT leadership roles, with a focus on application development, implementation, and management.
- Previous experience in leading corporate application development, implementation, and management within large organizations.
- Strong understanding of enterprise-wide applications, technology trends, and their alignment with business objectives.
- Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
- Proven track record in managing complex application portfolios and delivering successful technology solutions.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.
Base Salary Range: $250,000 USD - $300,000 USD
