Job Description:
We Are COCO is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Managing Partner to lead our expansion efforts in the Middle East market. The ideal candidate will have a strong retail background, ideally as a former Distribution Manager, Senior Multi-brand Buyer, DMM, or similar role, with extensive connections within the Middle East retail and brand sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify and approach brands with high growth potential.
- Develop and implement strategies to scale brands across multiple territories, leveraging the We Are COCO network for global expansion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both retailers and brands, facilitating partnerships that align with direct-to-consumer and wholesale models.
- Manage the end-to-end process of brand partnerships, from initial contact to execution, ensuring a high level of service and success for the brands involved.
- Utilize numerical and analytical skills to assess market opportunities and develop actionable strategies.
- Collaborate closely with other Managing Partners and the We Are COCO team to share insights and drive collective success.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Buyer, DMM, or in a similar retail leadership role.
- Strong existing network within the retail and brand sectors, with a demonstrated ability to leverage these relationships.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive brand partnership strategies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Numerically sound with strong analytical abilities.
- Experience in managing brands across different markets, with a focus on scaling and global expansion.
Compensation: This role is commission-based, with compensation structured as a percentage of the revenue generated from the brands managed. This includes both new brands brought into the We Are COCO network and those handed over for market management.
