Position Summary
As an Associate Risk and Compliance Analyst, you will be an integral part of our risk management and compliance team. Your primary role will be to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of risk management and compliance programs. You will assist in identifying potential risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to the creation of strategies to mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Assessment: Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to the organization. Analyze risk factors and report findings to the Risk and Compliance Manager.
- Compliance Monitoring: Support the monitoring and evaluation of compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures. Conduct routine audits and compliance checks.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and risk assessments. Prepare detailed reports and documentation for internal use and regulatory purposes.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Help develop and update policies and procedures to ensure they align with current regulations and best practices. Assist in the communication and training of these policies to staff.
- Incident Management: Assist in investigating compliance incidents and risk events. Help develop action plans for remediation and follow-up on the implementation of corrective measures.
- Data Analysis: Analyze risk and compliance data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to support decision-making and strategy development.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to risk management and compliance. Provide support and guidance on compliance-related issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field. Certifications such as CISA, CISM, or CRCM are a plus.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in risk management, compliance, audit, or a related field. Experience in financial services or a regulated industry is preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with risk management and compliance software is advantageous.
- Knowledge: Understanding of risk management principles, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations is a plus.
- Personal Attributes: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of integrity and professionalism.
