Position Overview
The Senior Director of Operational Excellence will play a critical role in shaping and executing our operational strategy to ensure we achieve the highest standards of efficiency, quality, and effectiveness. This leader will drive the implementation of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of operational excellence methodologies, and a track record of delivering transformational results.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive operational excellence strategy aligned with company goals. Lead the creation and implementation of long-term plans to improve operational performance and efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Champion and oversee process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile. Identify areas for improvement, develop solutions, and drive implementation to achieve measurable results.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and measure success. Utilize data and analytics to provide insights and drive decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership and department heads to ensure alignment and integration of operational excellence initiatives across all functions of the organization.
- Change Management: Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and improvements. Develop and deliver training programs to support change initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of operational excellence professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive management, to provide updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities. Facilitate workshops and presentations to drive engagement and support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Expertise in operational excellence methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with experience in building and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and navigate organizational dynamics effectively.
