Job Summary:
The IT Security Analyst is responsible for safeguarding the company’s digital assets by identifying potential vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and monitoring systems for security breaches. The role involves conducting risk assessments, responding to security incidents, and staying up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends. The IT Security Analyst works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the organization’s IT infrastructure is protected and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Systems & Networks: Continuously monitor and analyze the organization's IT systems and networks for security breaches or suspicious activities.
- Incident Response: Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware attacks, phishing attempts, and other forms of cyber threats.
- Risk Assessments & Vulnerability Management: Perform regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans. Recommend and implement mitigation strategies to reduce risks.
- Security Audits: Conduct internal and external security audits to ensure compliance with security policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Security Solutions: Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus programs, and other security solutions.
- Security Awareness Training: Assist in developing and conducting training programs to educate staff on security policies and best practices
