Role: Applications Systems Administrator
Duration: 5+ years project
Location: Place of performance: 10 Center Drive or 35A Convent Drive, Bethesda, MD 20892, as well as any other buildings NINDS may occupy in the future. The Contractor may also be required to work at other NIH sites within ten (10) miles of the primary place of performance as needed
All HHS personnel requires Puyblic Trust to work, irrespective of the agency.
Prior NIH work is required perhaps exact NINDs experience in BRICS platform
Minimum Requirements
- Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, with relevant certifications (e.g., RedHat, ext.).
- Have 2-3 years’ experience in server systems management, set up and monitoring.
- Have knowledge and experience with IT automation tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, etc.
- Have experience with server operating systems installation, configuration and hardening.
- Have knowledge and experience with database software installation and updating.
- Have strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Be dependable to meet tight deadline and can work independently.
- Work well across multiple teams and can sit for prolonged periods of time at a computer and/or desk, and move between buildings within the Bethesda, MD campus.
