Position Title:- RHEL and Splunk Specialist
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled RHEL and Splunk Specialist to join our team on a 12-month
contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong skill set in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and have experience in developing Splunk Dashboards and providing comprehensive reporting on key critical services and metrics. This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Red Hat Linux operating systems to ensure optimal performance and stability.
- Monitor and alert system health, ensuring the timely detection and resolution of issues.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Reduce system downtime through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Improve system performance and stability through continuous monitoring and optimization.
- Enhance network performance and ensure seamless connectivity across the organization.
- Implement and maintain robust system security measures to protect against vulnerabilities.
- Develop Splunk queries and create dashboards to monitor application performance, capacity,and platform metrics.
- Provide detailed reporting on key critical services and metrics to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Red Hat Linux operating systems.
- Experience in system monitoring and alerting.
- Strong understanding of disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Proven ability to reduce system downtime and improve performance and stability.
- Knowledge of business continuity planning.
- Proficiency in network performance enhancement.
- Understanding of system security measures.
- Experience in developing Splunk queries and dashboards targeted at understanding application
performance, capacity, and platform monitoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in Red Hat Linux and/or Splunk.
- Experience working in a hybrid work environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the IT industry.
