Security Clearance - Secret required, TS preferred
Mid-level Windows Systems Administrator to perform Server Administration functions supporting the mission applications in an MS Windows Server 2016 and 2019 environment on the Comptroller contract. The Windows Systems Administrator will perform ongoing system integration and secure operational support for various Comptroller Mission Essential Applications (MEAs) and services for OUSD(C) so that they may share pre-decisional information and processes securely in a homogeneous environment within OUSD(C) and JSP enclave.
Responsibilities
- Support the enterprise infrastructure to operate, administer, secure, and maintain the OUSDC Production, Development and Test environment.
- Provide MS Windows architecture engineering services (i.e., Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO) security compliance, server hardware configuration, server monitoring, managing, and maintaining).
- Run ACAS scan jobs on COMPT systems to address vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and perform daily checks of the JSP HBSS policy implementations.
- Update antivirus definition on OUSDC systems via the management console.
- Ensure availability and functionality of Comptroller mission-critical application servers.
- Familiar with Server Operating systems processes (i.e. how systems are built and managed).
- Support the requisition and issuance of SIPR Tokens under JSP Registration Authority (RA) guidelines.
- Establish and maintain a process to manage unclassified and classified Enterprise and Comptroller-specific mission application accounts.
- Organize, set up, and support video teleconferencing (VTC).
- Provide instructions and training to OUSDC end-users.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience – B.S. in Information Technology or related field, and 5 years of experience working in an MS Server Windows 2016/2019 environment.
- Must be proficient with MS Windows Server with a minimum of 5 years experience administering, securing, and maintaining servers, in-depth understanding of modern Microsoft Active Directory (AD) infrastructure, full knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2016 and 2019 server implementation, experience in TCP/IP and VMware Virtualization technologies, and experience in DoD security practices.
- Must be able to demonstrate successful experience with troubleshooting and resolving mission applications installed in an MS Windows server environment and diagnosing end-user software and hardware issues.
