A successful Sales Executive representing Impelix's Value Added Reseller (VAR) initiatives is an ambitious self-starter who is proactive and passionate about company products and services and the clients they serve and delivers results above expectations.
The Sales Executive will act as a point of contact for their clients with the goal of providing world-class service. As a greenfield hunter, this role is responsible for landing new business in a defined territory. Impelix offers unmatched, result-based, uncapped compensation plans.Depending on the VAR Sales Executive's activity, OTE for this role can range between 200k to 400k (base salary + commissions).
The desired candidate will have at least 5 years of successful cybersecurity reseller or vendor sales experience and a proven ability to meet or exceed a $3 to $5 million annual revenue target.
How to Create Significant Influence:
- Client Acquisition Strategy: Build a large sales pipeline to drive revenue growth by actively seeking out and engaging potential customers through various prospecting methods, such as cold calling and networking, to generate leads and sales opportunities.
- Account Management: Manage new client accounts by building trusted, effective, and productive relationships.
- Vendor Relations: Proactively drive additional revenue growth through networking and fostering lasting relationships with vendor partners to acquire leads that will support client acquisition and maximize mutually beneficial sales opportunities.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve a minimum annual revenue target of $3 to $5 million. Develop a thorough understanding of the network and security market as well as the products and service offerings Impelix actively sells to effectively communicate and showcase Impelix’s value proposition as it relates to our expertise, capabilities, competitive advantage, and meeting customer needs. Taps into internal technical resources to assist in delivering client technology solutions.
- Sales Negotiation: Negotiate with clients to close sales and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for both the customer and the company.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software or other designated tools.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new sales opportunities, competitive threats, and potential areas for growth.
- Internal/External Communications: Initiate and/or monitor and mediate all necessary communications between clients, vendors, and members of your team (technical, sales, client operations, etc.) within each account.
Required Skills:
- A minimum of 5 years of successful experience in a cybersecurity reseller or vendor environment.
- A greenfield hunter mentality who thrives in a metrics and results driven sales culture.
- Proven ability to build and execute an account acquisition strategy with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and quotas.
- Experience in selling cybersecurity products and services such as Palo Alto, Crowdstrike, Checkpoint, and others.
- Understanding of consumer behaviors and industry trends.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills toinfluence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
- Exceptional time management, prioritization, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally.
