GLPMC is a skilled group of ex-military personnel focused on delivering threat intelligence and cyber security services to Web3 projects & venture capitalists. We are looking to hire a skilled Security Engineer with an umbrella of skills.
Position Overview:
The Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our security tooling. This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise security tooling and systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Linux Systems: Proficient in managing Debian/Ubuntu systems and working within a command-line interface (CLI).
- EDR & SIEM Integration: Experience integrating Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions across the organization.
- Vulnerability Management: Oversee the organization's vulnerability management program.
- Server Deployment and Management: Deploy, provision, and manage Linux servers to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Cloud Infrastructure Engineering: Work within cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud (GCP).
- Networking Systems: Integrate firewall rules for product functionality.
- API Integration: Develop and manage custom integrations with various APIs to enhance security operations.
- Scripting: Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash to automate tasks and develop web-monitoring integrations.
- Open-Source Software: Familiarity with open-source security tooling.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively within a small team and take direction from leadership, including taking orders from younger talent.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience working within the private/finance sector
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Knowledge of various hacking techniques and countermeasures
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- Relevant certifications (OSCP, GCFE, GDSA) are a plus.
