Role: Cloud Security Architect/ SME (migrate the current on-prem data center to Azure DevOps )

- Discovery and Migration Support
1.1.
Goals and Focus
1.1.1. The goal of this workstream is to help the existing State team migrate the current on-prem data center to the State’s hybrid cloud environment.
1.1.2. The focus of the resource assigned to this workstream will be to provide:
1.1.2.1. Discovery services. The resource will review existing applications and servers and document tasks and configurations required for successful migration, and developing process that can be repeated by other team members.
1.1.2.2. Coaching. The existing State team responsible for these apps and servers will continue to participate in discovery work but needs to skill up in efficient approaches to discovery.
1.1.2.3. Migration plan review. The State team is working on migration plans including domain collapse and post-migration management approaches. The resource will review existing plans and recommend updates that will reduce risk while still meeting the timeline.
1.1.2.4. Technology recommendations. The State team is looking for recommendations for tools and process to support discovery. This includes, but is not limited to, recommended future technology offerings for legacy systems based on documented need and business process.
1.2. Deliverables
1.2.1. Documentation. Servers, apps, and migration steps will be documented according to templates developed by the State.
1.2.2. Status reports. Weekly status reports will be provided to the project manager.
1.2.3. Updates to Azure DevOps. The State is managing tasks in Azure DevOps. The resource will be responsible for updates for tasks they are assigned.
1.3. Skills, Knowledge, And Experience Requirements.
1.3.1. Experience and expert knowledge in data center migration and domain collapse.
1.3.2. Expert knowledge of system analysis and documentation, including database and client server architecture.
1.3.3. Knowledge of security best practices in legacy environments.
1.3.4. Experience in agile-based migrations.
1.3.5. Experience in technical writing.
