The Opportunity
ISMG’s Sales Team is the heartbeat of the organization and the work our Account Executives do is essential for our continued growth and success.
As Account Executive at ISMG, you will be responsible for the full sales cycle of acquiring new business clients across cybersecurity and technology markets while maintaining consultative relationships with existing customers. In this role, you will aim to understand the unique organizational and marketing needs of our enterprise clients to successfully position our portfolio of lead generation and brand awareness solutions including digital marketing and advertising options, global event sponsorships, custom content, custom research, and more.
In order to meet projected revenue goals, you’ll consistently analyze the market and your assigned account territory to identify gaps and strategize on creative ways to persist and perform. What you'll be doing
- Developing a high level understanding of ISMG's offerings and a strong base level knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape to elevate prospecting communication with clients.
- Implementing and executing ISMG’s integrated sale cycle which includes prospecting and lead generation, sales development and lead nurturing campaigns, needs analysis and opportunity qualification, solution presentation, contract negotiation and closing, and post-sale support.
- Working off of a defined account list, as well as prospecting white-space accounts, to identify decision-makers and uncover new business opportunities.
- Engaging with prospects through diligent and targeted outreach via cold-call, email, and networking tactics.
- Establishing, developing, and maintaining positive business relationships with current customers to maximize renewal business.
- Achieving agreed upon sales targets and performance outcomes within schedule.
- Analyzing the territory and market potential to maximize opportunity and revenue growth, tracking sales and providing weekly/monthly/quarterly status reports.
- Supplying management with reports on sales status updates as well as client needs/interests, competitive activities, and potential for new and existing offerings.
What you’ll bring for success
- BS/MS degree in related field
- 3-5+ years of full-cycle B2B Professional Sales experience
- Experience targeting executive decision makers within Media, Marketing, Branding, and/or Research and Content divisions
- Formal training in one of the following Sales methodologies (or another formal process): MEDDIC, Value Selling, Challenger Selling, Sandler
- Strong relationship building skills and an ability to establish productive professional business partnerships
- Ability to create and deliver high level presentations tailored to audience needs
- Familiarity with Salesforce & CRM practices
- Outstanding time management, prioritizing, and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and apply feedback to improve performance
- A solution-oriented and results-driven mindset with a desire to make a true impact
