This role provides internal and remote support for the organization. Responsibilities include efficiently installing, configuring and maintaining the company’s private and cloud IT services. The Systems Administrator will handle various tasks to maintain and administer hardware and software for servers, desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and network devices. This position is responsible for analyzing and resolving issues related to server hardware and software. Additionally, the Systems Administrator performs daily operational support tasks, network monitoring, and provides hands-on PC and network hardware and software support for both on-site and off-site users.

Works closely with: IT, end users of all levels, external vendors
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up new servers, upgrade existing servers, and decommission expired servers
- Configure, and support internal and external networks
- Develop and maintain all systems, applications, security, and network configurations
- Monitor and troubleshoot technology performance issues
- Create and maintain a disaster recovery plan
- Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment as required
- Provide technical support and guidance to users
- Coordinate with Managed Service Provider to provide guidance to a wholly owned affiliate
- Ensure best practices are followed for security, applications, hardware, shared storage, and network infrastructure, aligning with the global IT strategy
- Utilize expertise from a wide variety of the field's concepts, best practices, and procedures to accomplish tasks
- Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Exercise creativity to accomplish tasks.
- Engage in self-study and research to stay updated on new hardware and software
Desired Skills/Experience
- Ability to move / install servers, computers, printers, monitors, and related equipment
- Minimum 5 years of experience performing network assignments of increasing complexity
- Bachelor’s degree in information technologies or another relevant field preferred
- Microsoft certified preferred
- VMware VCP-VCF certified preferred
- Ability to work independently while managing time between projects and user support calls
- Establish communication with supervisory and management personnel to report tasks and project status, and issues related to server or computer maintenance and support
- Strong personable customer skills are desirable
- Ability to communicate with end users to identify computer or network-related problems
- Efficient in applying problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues
- Skilled in working with a range of Information Technology vendors
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

This role will become hybrid after 90 days of service. It will be 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.
