About the Role: The Information Technology Administrator will manage and coordinate the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the network, hardware, software, and related communications systems for the company.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware
- Provide network, hardware, and software support with a variety of operating systems
- Install and configure network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues
- Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations
- Maintain servers and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings
- Monitor computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks.
- Create and maintain network users/permissions along with communicating networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Test release of products to minimize user impact and ensure compatibility
- Manage the administration and safeguarding of physical and digital assets, including files and emails
Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 2+ years’ experience in an IT administration role
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016,2019, and 2022
- Relevant industry certification. Options include CCNA, CCNP and, CISSP
- Strong understanding of computer network infrastructure
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issues
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Azure, O365, MacOS, or related software
- Broad knowledge and background on TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, WAN, and LAN
- Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, Citrix, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
- Knowledge of Sage, Salesforce, Körber Edge, and other software packages used by AKDO
- Dependable and flexible when necessary
