Senior System Administrator (MSP) – Norwalk, CT (Hybrid)
Salary: $80,000 – $95,000
Schedule: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week)
We're hiring a Senior System Administrator for a fast-growing, full-service Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Norwalk, CT. This is a hybrid role offering a mix of support and project-based work (approximately 30% projects). Responsibilities:
- Act as an escalation point for complex Tier 3 support issues
- Lead client infrastructure projects including server upgrades, cloud migrations, and new deployments
- Support and maintain Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, GPOs, and domain services
- Manage and support virtualization platforms (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
- Perform advanced troubleshooting across Windows Server environments
- Maintain documentation in systems like IT Glue
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients for successful project execution
- Occasional client-site visits in the local area (reimbursed)
Requirements:
- 4+ years in a system administration role within an MSP environment
- Strong experience with M365, Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune
- Hands-on knowledge of virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V)
- Familiarity with backup solutions, RMM tools, ticketing systems (ConnectWise preferred)
- Firewall and network support knowledge (e.g., FortiGate, SonicWALL, Meraki)
- Strong client-facing communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
- Must be local to the Norwalk area or within a reasonable commuting distance
