Job Summary:
We are seeking a Level 1 Windows Administrator to provide first-line technical support for Windows-based systems and infrastructure. This role is ideal for candidates with basic knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop environments who are eager to grow their careers in IT system administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor system alerts and respond to support tickets related to Windows environments.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on Windows desktops, laptops, and servers.
- Assist in managing Active Directory users, groups, and permissions.
- Support OS installations, patching, updates, and basic configurations.
- Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2 or Level 3 support teams.
- Maintain documentation of incidents, resolutions, and standard procedures.
- Provide support for remote access (VPN, RDP).
- Ensure endpoint security policies are followed (e.g., antivirus updates, basic firewall settings).
- Perform basic disk management, printer setups, and network drive mappings.
Required Skills:
- Basic understanding of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file sharing.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
- Certification in MTA, CompTIA A+/N+, or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals (optional but preferred).
- Experience using a ticketing system like ServiceNow or Jira is a plus.
