Forhopp is redefining the freelance marketplace by connecting global clients with talented freelancers from regions where traditional payment systems fall short. With our MVP already launched, we are now seeking a visionary Co-Founder & CTO to architect cutting-edge intelligent systems that will drive marketplace innovation, optimize user experiences, and build the future of global freelancing.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of AI-driven features, such as talent matching, fraud detection, personalized recommendations, and AI-assisted communication.
Build and scale AI infrastructure to support platform growth, user personalization, and operational automation.
Integrate AI into core workflows to enhance user experience for both freelancers and clients.
Develop proprietary models or leverage existing AI platforms to improve marketplace efficiency, security, and trust.
Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to align AI initiatives with business goals.
Represent Forhopp’s AI vision to investors, partners, and accelerator programs such as Y Combinator and Techstars.
Build and manage a high-performing AI/data science team as the company scales.

Requirements

Based in California, USA (or willing to relocate or work remotely with flexible hours).
Strong expertise in AI/ML, data science, or a related technical field.
Experience building AI solutions, preferably in marketplaces, fintech, or SaaS platforms.
Familiarity with LLMs, recommendation systems, NLP, fraud detection, or financial AI solutions is a big plus.
Previous startup experience or working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is highly preferred.
Ability to take ownership of AI strategy and execution as a core founding member.
