Job Title: IT Systems Administrator
Type of Engagement: 6-month contract to hire (Not open to 3rd party C2C consultants. Visa sponsorship is not available)
Work Location: Onsite position located in Raleigh, NC area.
Candidates must reside in the Greater Raleigh, NC area.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience required.
- 3-5 years’ experience in Information Technology experience required.
- Experience supporting corporate IT infrastructure required.
- Ability to lift to waist up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
- Ability to type on a keyboard.
- Ability to hear and talk.
- Ability to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Requires close vision for computer work and reviewing correspondence.
- Work is performed in a controlled office and manufacturing environment, noise levels within acceptable safety levels, paper dust, etc.
Experience With The Following Is Strongly Preferred
- Cisco, DellEMC, or HP server hardware
- VMware 5 – 7 ESXi, vCenter, Update Manager, vMotion, VM deployment, standard and distributed switches, datastores
- Windows 2003 – 2022 Server OS Administration
- Windows Active Directory, Group Object Policy (GPO) Administration
- DNS / DHCP Administration
- File / Printer Server Administration
- Windows XP – 11 Client OS Administration
- Microsoft SQL Server 2012 – 2019
- Microsoft Azure Cloud Administration, Azure AD Connect
- NetApp, DellEMC, or HP Storage Arrays
- Business continuity and disaster recovery planning
- Critical thinking, judgement, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively through written and oral communication.
- Robust attention to detail, organization, and time management skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services.
Job Overview:
This position will have overall responsibility, as a systems administrator / engineer, for supporting the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the corporate server and storage environments
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain server, and database hardware, operating systems, and software. Includes physical, virtual, and cloud-based servers, storage, databases.
- Install, configure, and maintain storage hardware, operating systems, and software.
- Provides support and troubleshooting of server, storage, and database environments.
- Provides support, troubleshooting, and testing for new application and software releases.
- Supports system monitoring, performance tuning, and backup / recovery processes and procedures.
- Interfaces and / or supports the IT Networking Management, IT Service Desk Management, and Security and Compliance teams as necessary.
- Follows and ensures standardized processes and procedures, as well as IT Security policies, principles, and practices.
- Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner.
- Provides on-call 24 x 7 support on a rotating basis.
- Other duties as necessary.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $33.00 - $38.00 per hour. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
