Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Systems Administrator will participate and often lead in the upkeep/update of a vast array of IT infrastructure. They will also handle routine day-to-day maintenance, tasks, and troubleshooting of the department's systems.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Diagnose/Update/Maintain a wide range of IT infrastructure
- VEEAM Backup solution
- VMWare vCenter Appliances
- HPE Servers and HPE SAN solutions
- Cisco Network Infrastructure
- Monitoring System Performance
- Patching/Updating infrastructure components
- File Server/Permissions Access Control
- Active Directory and Azure (Entra)
- Identify gaps in systems security
- Plan, design, and implement new software/hardware needs as they arise
- Improve and modify processes to adhere to best standard practices.
- Recommends and administers security and support policies,
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, Skills, And Abilities) Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 4-6 years of experience in systems administration, IT maintenance, and technical support.
- Problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with non-technical and technical effectively.
- Experience with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
- VMware and other Hypervisor technical proficiency.
- Basic understanding of VOIP calling.
- Windows Server OS; Exchange Online and/or SQL experience a plus.
- SAN support (HPE Nimble/Storeonce).
- Backup Infrastructure support (VEEAM).
Notes
- This is an office-based position which requires frequent travel by car for overnight(s) stays.
- Candidates are required to possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clear driving history.
