Our client is looking for a Systems Administrator to take ownership of the smooth and efficient operation of our IT infrastructure.
This person holds primary responsibility for the installation, configuration, and continuous maintenance of our servers, storage solutions, and essential software applications. The role necessitates expertise in supporting a diverse range of computing environments, encompassing physical, virtual, and cloud-based systems. A robust understanding of both Windows and Linux operating systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive support for the organization's IT infrastructure, including the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, deployment, and upgrading of servers, systems hardware, software, VoIP, and related IT infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain thorough system documentation, including IT processes, procedures, plans, and configurations, to ensure effective system deployment and management.
- Proactively monitor the service desk to address and resolve escalated technical issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Evaluate, research, test, and recommend new systems, server technologies, and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the current IT environment.
- Administer the organization's storage systems (PowerStore, S3, EFS, etc.), virtual environments (VMware, EC2, etc.), Active Directory, DHCP, Private and Public DNS, and Microsoft Entra.
- Manage and maintain mobile device management (MDM) environments, specifically Intune and Jamf.
- Promote the effective use of technology across the organization and provide technical assistance to teams and functional areas in the initiation and planning of technology-related projects.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support across the organization for the utilization of IT systems and software.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in computer operations, systems administration, and user support; or 8-10 years of professional experience as a Systems Administrator.
- Demonstrated expertise in the administration of Linux and Windows systems, as well as AWS and Azure environments.
- Demonstrated experience in automating administrative tasks using tools such as Ansible and AWS Systems Manager.
- Solid foundation in networking systems, including firewalls, switches, routers, and VPN.
- Demonstrated ability to apply technology effectively to enhance work processes and efficiency.
- Excellent technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, with meticulous attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to share knowledge and work effectively across teams and functional areas.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work proactively.
Preferred Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems.
- Amazon Web Services (EC2, ELB, WAF, VPC, IaC, S3, ECS, Lambdas, IAM, RDS).
- Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, and SAN technologies (SMB, NFS, iSCSI).
- Backup solutions for large storage systems and virtual machines (Rubrik).
