Our client, a world leader in engineering and construction, is seeking a Systems Administrator to suppot their financial planning & analysis group. The ideal candidate will bring strong systems administration expertise combined with a high level understanding of FP&A and a project management mindset.
As part of the FP&A team, this individual will have significant exposure to senior management and will have opportunities to advance within IT, Finance or others areas of interest. It reports directly to the Dir. of FP&A will spearhead systems initiatives and influence future projects like the transition to SAP 4Hana.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration: Oversee the administration of the FP&A planning system (experience with SAP 4hana, Oracle or Tagetik is required), as it relates to budgeting, planning, and reporting.
- System Enhancement: Implement and integrate system changes based on software updates, production issues, or business growth.
- Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across the organization to recommend and implement enhancements to financial planning and reporting processes.
- Project Management: Lead system improvements with a project management mindset, including change management, user acceptance testing, and post-implementation support.
- Training: Provide training and support for FP&A analysts and other stakeholders, ensuring smooth system operations and understanding of best practices.
- Global Coordination: Work closely with international teams to ensure seamless system administration across multiple regions.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in IT/finance roles, with 8+ years preferred.
- Experience in a global ERP system environment (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, OneStream, or Tagetik).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience administering financial planning solutions.
- Understanding of FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
- General understanding of system infrastructure and maintenance (backup/recovery, performance tuning, monitoring, patching, disaster recovery planning).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management and provide clear training and support.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Specific experience with Tagetik or integration experience with SAP 4hana.
- Project Management experience with project management methodologies and a mindset for system improvements.
