A Bit About Us
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Systems Administrator for our client that specializes in providing electrical power maintenance, engineering, and testing services for the energy sector. This is a fully ON-SITE position in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows-based environments and be comfortable with O365, Azure, DNS and ITIL. With a minimum of 5 years of experience, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our system's infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily business activities.

Job Details
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure the seamless operation of all systems.
- Work closely with the finance and accounting team to understand their needs and implement IT solutions to meet those needs.
Qualifications
- Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows-based environments.
- Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks.
- Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box).
- Experience with monitoring systems.
- Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python).
- Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
- Proficiency in O365 administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and how they apply to a production IT environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
