About Us
We are an early-stage AI-driven biologics discovery startup on a mission to revolutionize drug development via an end-to-end, closed-loop platform. Our approach combines:
- AI/Agentic Systems – Deploying advanced, autonomous agent frameworks capable of rapidly iterating on molecular designs.
- High-Throughput Validation – Generating real-time, scalable experimental data to refine and improve models iteratively.
- Seamless Feedback Loops – Utilizing fully integrated computational and laboratory workflows to compress discovery timelines.
In the final stages of securing a multi-million-dollar Pre-Seed round, we are building a system where AI generates novel biologics, high-quality experimental data validates them, and feedback continuously enhances discovery. Our goal is to redefine biologics drug discovery by seamlessly linking computational and experimental approaches in a fully data-driven cycle.
This Role
We are seeking a hands-on Co-founder/CTO with a proven track record of architecting GPU/CPU-intensive software platforms, integrating large-scale data pipelines, and tackling complex computational biology challenges. You will design and lead the development of our closed-loop, AI-powered discovery platform, with particular emphasis on building agentic systems to automate and optimize biologics design. In this role, you will collaborate closely with wet-lab scientists, ML engineers, computational biologists, and protein designers to ensure our platform delivers robust, high-impact results:
- Hands-On Development: Lead the design and coding of complex software systems, including many GPU-intensive software, to handle large volumes of high-dimensional biological data.
- Agentic/automated System Innovation: Incorporate agent-based or multi-agent frameworks to automate the design, selection, and optimization of biologics.
- Real-Time Data Integration: Architect end-to-end pipelines, from raw experimental outputs to iterative model training and deployment.
- Strategic Impact: Shape the technical vision of the company and drive the adoption of innovative computational methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Architecture & Engineering
- Architect and implement a scalable, high-performance computing environment that accommodates GPU/CPU-intensive workflows.
- Integrate modern DevOps best practices (containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, version control) to ensure rapid, reliable, and secure deployment cycles.
- Oversee the development of cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and observability to maintain high availability and fault tolerance.
Agentic/Autonomous Systems
- Develop and deploy agent-based frameworks to streamline biologics design, including self-directed molecular generation and optimization algorithms.
- Integrate reinforcement learning, multi-agent collaboration, or other agentic approaches within broader discovery pipelines.
Computational Biology & High-Dimensional Data
- Ensure seamless ingestion, transformation, and management of multi-omics and assay data for machine learning applications.
- Collaborate with bioinformaticians and experimental biologists to refine data collection protocols for maximum predictive power.
- Plus: Familiarity with protein language models (e.g., ESM, ABLang) and structural-based tools (e.g., RFdiffusion, AlphaFold, Rosetta suite) for protein design and prediction is strongly desired.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Build and lead an interdisciplinary technical team spanning software engineering, data science, protein design, and computational biology.
- Collaborate with wet-lab operations to align experimental designs with computational modeling needs.
Strategic Growth & Vision
- Contribute to business development, investor presentations, and strategic partnerships.
- Identify emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., container orchestration, large-scale workflow engines, HPC frameworks) that can further enhance the company’s competitive edge.
Qualifications
- Hands-On Development: Proven proficiency in Python, C++/Java, or related languages. Experience with large-scale software architectures, distributed systems, and HPC frameworks (CUDA, MPI, Spark, or similar).
- Agentic Systems: Familiarity with reinforcement learning, multi-agent simulation, or agent-based methodologies is highly desirable.
- DevOps & Best Practices: Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, Git workflows, automated testing, code review processes, and continuous monitoring/logging solutions.
- Background in computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related field, with proficiency in handling large-scale biological datasets.
- Protein Design: Prior hands-on experience using protein language models (e.g., ESM, ABLang) or structural-based tools (RFdiffusion, AlphaFold, Rosetta suite) is a significant plus.
- Understanding of biologics discovery workflows (protein engineering, antibody discovery) is highly valuable.
- Leadership & Entrepreneurial Drive
- Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams or leading R&D efforts in a startup/fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical ideas across scientific and business audiences.
