Duration: 6 month contract to hire (will convert to FTE based on performance)
Location: hybrid 3x/week Downtown Pittsburgh
Pay Range: $50-60/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Must Haves:
- 3 years of Network Architect experience which includes: performing systems maintenance, implementation, and support.
- Bachelor’s Degree from a fully accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant network certifications obtained within the past 5 years, i.e., CCNA, CCNE, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP obtained within the past 5 years.
- Cloud infrastructure knowledge
- ITIL
- Current network protocols, routing protocols, infrastructure components, QoS.
- Experience with Cisco technologies including switching, routing and firewalls.
Day to Day:
The network architect designs, implements, and maintains the network. They are responsible for ensuring that the network meets the organization's current and future needs, including security, reliability, performance, and scalability. The network architect creates documentation throughout the design and deployment process as a reference for future network enhancements or maintenance. After deployment, they also may manage the networks and troubleshoot any issues that arise. They analyze data traffic and system performance to determine future upgrades.
Position Duties:
- Design: Develop network architecture designs that align with the organization's goals and industry best practices
- Implement: Implement the network architecture
- Maintain: Maintain the network infrastructure; engage with the Service Desk/desktop support regarding network-related tickets.
- Provide technical leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to network engineers and other infrastructure staff
- Ensure compliance: Ensure that the network infrastructure complies with industry standards and best practices
- Collaborate: Collaborate with other IT professionals to integrate network components, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network performance
- Document Create and maintain network architecture diagrams and other documentation.
Ability to:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot in the areas of networking.
- Provide effective technical assistance and training to colleagues.
- Supervise, monitor, evaluate and direct the work of assigned personnel.
- Effectively ensure the security and integrity of computer systems and networks including the Internet and intranet.
- Establish and maintain records and prepare accurate reports, correspondence, etc.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Work outside regular hours and ability to be on call on some weeknights and weekends.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, associates and outside agencies.
- Use analytical skills to thoroughly dissect a problem and present viable solution to management for discussion.
