Our client is located in Northwest Houston and looking to add an IT Business Management Lead (Telecom focused) to their team on a contract to hire basis. This role will be a 6-12 month contract that will then convert to permanent. Must have strong Telecom Expense Management experience.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the telecom expense platform and IT purchasing. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in TEM, IT Software, IT Hardware, and IT services. Additionally, this role will play a crucial part in assisting with IT Financial Management.
- Oversee the comprehensive management of the global telecom expense management (TEM) database, encompassing wireless, landline, and infrastructure accounts.
- Expertly analyze and identify cost-saving opportunities related to mobility plans, data pools, international features, discounts, and zero-usage lines.
- Conduct sophisticated data analysis to uncover trends, inventory discrepancies, and potential cost reduction opportunities within the TEM platform.
- Lead as the IT Project Manager for future phases or enhancements to the TEM database.
- Generate IT purchase requisitions for all of the IT managers with precision.
- Collaborate closely with the IT Planning Manager to develop financial forecasts and meticulously track telecom expenditures against the IT Infrastructure budget.
- Assist with the creation of the annual forecasting and actual cost submission for IT.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-5+ years of experience in telecom expense management preferably using Tangoe, Calero, or one of the other major TEM platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of IT business finance – cost allocation, budgeting, AP and GL process.
- 5 years of experience with enterprise system integrations (i.e. AP/GL/HR) and process workflows.
- 5 years of experience with telecom technologies such as VoIP, unified communications, cloud services, and mobile data management.
- Experience working in a very large IT department
- Experience in IT Financial Management for a global organization
- Experienced in IT purchasing, purchase orders, requisitions, P2P workflows in an ITSM tool
- Experience with hardware and software asset management
